MARKETING Is Job 1 - It doesn't matter how good your products / services / company / comp plan / opportunity may be => "marketing" expertise will win every time => every time.

Give To GIVE - All good sales and marketing "begins" by putting the OTHER person first. It starts by really listening, caring and GETTING Information - not DISPENSING it. This is the whole "essence" of ATTRACTION Marketing.

Become The HUNTED - A Prospect that COMES TO YOU is infinitely more "qualified" than anyone YOU APPROACH yourself [such as a purchased 'lead']. The difference between someone who ATTRACTS Customers / Clients / Associates to them -vs- someone who CHASES AFTER them is dramatic - NO exaggeration. Most of the OLD methods taught (teach) that you should initiate the contact process (interruption marketing), often resulting in 'bugging' too many people -whereas the NEW methodology teaches you how to "become more attractive" to others, because of the high VALUE you bring to them.

Be a SOLUTIONS Provider - People don’t buy PRODUCTS & SERVICES => they buy SOLUTIONS. This is a hidden KEY to marketing. Nobody buys anything because of what it IS. They buy it because of what it will do for them - because they have a problem that needs solving - because they have a need that requires attention. Sell SOLUTIONS - not BIZ OPPS.
How? - In order to accomplish this, there are three (3) main things you have to do (and in this sequence):
1)- Sell Y-O-U [80% of your prospect’s decision is based on YOU and the value you give to them, as a 'person' who can help them get what they WANT];
2)- Sell your MARKETING SYSTEM - via high value useful information. It is the most important benefit you can offer - the Marketing System you use to build your own business. By offering them quality Marketing EDUCATION + an effective Marketing SYSTEM - you’re giving them SO much more than just a Biz Opp ((Biz Opps are a dime a dozen)) - you are giving them the HOW TO, with a "tried and tested" surefire way to build any Biz Opp they choose to become involved with.

Note: The thing is - once you know how to implement an "effective Marketing System" - you can go into any legitimate Network Marketing business and make an absolute killing. It does not matter what the product is, what the comp plan is, or who your upline is - because if you have the Marketing EDUCATION + a good "Marketing SYSTEM" in place - you'll become highly successful and profitable. Ideally, your Biz Opp should not even be "selected" until these two steps have first been implemented.
3)- Promote it through EDUCATIONAL Marketing - not the [old] traditional SALES methods you may have been taught [and perhaps even still use]. As Ann Sieg teaches in her classes - the two "most powerful" words for success now are ==> TEACHING SELLS ! :-)

POSITION Yourself - Another KEY to the whole business of "attracting" people is => POSITIONING. You have to be positioned as an informed LEADER - one with integrity and honor - one who has enough valuable insight and information to give that you are worth 'seeking out'. Call it having "posture". In the beginning, you can do this by simply "borrowing" some of the credibility of one of your Team Leaders if you need to.
You won't achieve this by just "offering the same thing" that everyone else is – a business opportunity. You have to give people far more than that. You have to give them direction and know-how. You have to stand apart from the rest of the crowd - and the only way to do this is by SELLING yourself [your UAP]. People want to be told HOW to do things - they want to have it all laid out for them in simple steps - they want someone to GUIDE them and help them navigate their way through the rough waters of building a business that they themselves O-W-N.
Independent Business OWNER (IBO) - One of the 'myths' of joining any MLM-Network Marketing company's opportunity is that you own your OWN business. Despite what they tell you, this is not true. You are classified as an IC (Independent Contractor) for 'tax' purposes, yes - but you're not an IBO (Independent Business OWNER) - your're a "sales Rep" for them.
Not that this is a "bad" thing at all - it's just the reality.
Part of your 'positioning' should include the great advantage that you can offer your prospects, by => helping them become a real (diversified + independent) "business owner" - IBO.
Business INFRASTRUCTURE - Not only will you be able to set yourself up this way, but you'll be able to help others do exactly the same - where YOU have the control + the ownership.
Another part should be that of making them aware of the 'risks' they could face if they don't position themselves an an IBO.

Get Prospects to SELL THEMSELVES - Never market Products & Biz Opps => market INFORMATION, up front. This process is called EDUCATIONAL MARKETING - and it’s the answer to your problems + theirs. This is another KEY to ATTRACTION - because in order to attract people to you, you have to be positioned as a LEADER, as already mentioned - and in order to be positioned as a Leader, you have to show that you know what you’re doing.
How? - By teaching people HOW to build a business before they actually start their Home Biz [or join your Biz Opp[. Part of that will be by showing them your unique SYSTEM first. Don’t TELL them you know what you’re doing => SHOW them - and let them draw the conclusion themselves. In fact, you want to teach them regardless of whether they intend to join your business or not (give to GIVE). They’re looking for a solution. They want to know if they’re actually going to be 'able' to be successful in some kind of business endeavor (including their own).
YOU, Inc - People don't care what company you're associated with - any more than you care what company I'm associated with. It doesn't matter. All of the top income earners have their own (branded) Marketing Systems behind them - and with most, you'll never even 'know' what their primary company is - that's the SECRET.
What people really care about is whether YOU are the leader they can trust and follow.

DUPLICATION - Once again, SYSTEMS are usually more duplicatable than PEOPLE. But build your business as if duplication is NOT going to happen. You can’t sponsor 10 people or so, and then kick back and expect everything to be taken care of for you. You have to take responsibility for your own growth. Don’t plan on anyone else building your business for you. Ultimately, the only person you have control over is YOU.
